My journey to discover linen starts from the need to create a thread that tells a story that is now almost completely forgotten. A thread that allows me to create a direct relationship with the earth and with the elements that give it life.

Observing ancient fabrics, their often imperfect weaves, I quickly realize that modern industrial yarns would never have been able to convey the same type of suggestion.

Thus began my research to collect the testimonies of the last people who, even seventy or eighty years ago, sowed and worked this noble plant; I also treasure the memories of those who, more recently, even just witnessed its making.

Since 2012 I have been sowing flax and carrying out all phases of its processing by hand, following tradition, up to the spinning of the fibre. This allows me to keep this knowledge alive and at the same time create fabrics capable of communicating timeless values.
